Finger Lakes late afternoon run what you brung.

The late afternoon gave us an opportunity to ride the larger scale trains, sit and chat under the trees, have a look at the live steam equipment (it was just to hot to run it), and do a little maintenance.  That is it for this year.

The American Invasion of friends saw over 50 people running trains over the four days in Canada and the US.  It was a blast.  Thanks to all the volunteers and participants for making 2012 a great success.

Finger lakes Day 4 Passenger Train Operations

Roger's passenger ops session was just great.  We had trains coming in from all points dropping off cars for other trains, baggage car and diner ops and express cars.  Even though the day was hot, folks went right to work moving the trains through this impressive outdoor layout.

Finger Lakes Morning Run what you brung

Mid Morning folks started to arrive so they had an opportunity to run some of their locomotives and rolling stock on the G Scale railroad. Also they got to ride some of the larger scale trains around the property.

After some lunch we will all be involved in an interesting operating session designed by Roger which features passenger train servicing and exchange of cars in the main yard.  Also working with express lifts and drops at the different stations on the line.  Enjoy these photos and I will tell you more in the next entry.
